The Unforeseen Intrusion

This poem itself is a chance creation; made of thoughts never meant to be thought, written of words always meant to unwritten. This piece was written out of sheer, unbearable anger but I’m surprised to see it came out pretty well. Unlike most of my poems, The Unforeseen Intrusion isn’t completely based on pure imagination but there is a true background story, a real person and of course, some vivid moments I endured painstakingly which only words could describe. . .

And, to The One who inspired it, thank you! But I don’t mean it anymore :)

Happy read!

The Unforeseen Intrusion

You found me. . . .

Upon a chance encounter

On some forgotten afternoon

Like beholding a rare gem in a rocky shore

I was but blissful to be unseen, lone

Yet,

Bemused by your euphoric discovery

The unwelcome trespasser I greeted

In you, with looks of infallible fury

You could not see. . .

Intruder, I say

Beware before you further

Invade my consuming oblivion

Retreat, O Unwanted Visitor

If you are scared to lose

For you will be torn asunder

By sheer nostalgia of the bygone

When we were close. . .

You whispered to me

Forsaken memories of times halcyon

Once inseparably together

Closer than ever on evenings million

I was but ecstatic to linger no longer!

Still. . .

Blinded by an obstinate obsession

You breached my serenity

In retaliation I trampled all

Your vulnerable emotions

You, now none can heal!

Intruder, dare not infiltrate

The shadowing fortress of my mind

Return or evermore

You will live with regret

My lethal stab of rejection

You can’t withstand

Stay where you are, trespasser

Clinging to the edges of my subconscious

Meddle not but with wakefulness. . .

Or the abyss of agony will engulf you

If you dare come nearer

You pleaded. . .

To unveil my shrouded heart

Revealed to me your fervent dreams

Every compelling desire, you confessed

I was but caught in a sardonic frenzy

As I spurned your pleas

At long last

I let my true wishes be heard

Dream in vain no more, stranger

Shatter your castles of hope, I must

My doors forever remain closed shut

You are welcome nevermore

You are an intruder!
